QA Director

Powerley is seeking a Quality Assurance Director to join our high-growth, creative organization at its offices in Royal Oak, MI. This position is responsible for providing daily coordination of QA tasks, testing of standard and management of the overall software QA process and workflow. The QA Director provides guidance to project team members in order to maintain the highest level of quality in our deliverables through continuous testing of functionality/usability and review of visual elements, proofreading, and validation during critical stages of software development.  This position shares responsibility for building and maintaining internal lines of communication, and creating/refining departmental process.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Test functionality and review visual elements of small- and large-scale interactive deliverables
  • Document and facilitate communication and troubleshooting of issues, bugs, changes
  • Validate and close-out all issues prior to client delivery
  • Collaborate with other staff to accomplish all daily QA tasks on-time with a high level of quality
  • Develop process to ensure the highest level of quality assurance possible
  • Investigate procedures, workflows, and software to keep our processes up to date
  • Conduct weekly touch base meetings
  • Work closely with partners and producers on company process
  • Maintain open communication with internal teams
  • Assist with internal project kickoffs and requirements/specs gathering
  • Plan and document the testing effort via test plans and test cases for larger-scale projects

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma
  • Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience
  • Experience with implementation of corrective action programs
  • Product or industry-specific experience
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases
  • Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements
  • Ability to think creatively, and problem solve in a structured manner
  • Passion for work, highly-driven, and self-motivated
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Proven leadership ability, experienced in coaching and delegation
  • Ability to prioritize work, plan, and manage change
  • Excellent strategic planning, organization and administration skills
