Installation & Setup Guide
The Home Energy Management kit you received in the mail contains two packages with devices you will need to set up individually to complete the pilot:
Once paired to your My Co-op Power app, this device will allow you to add approved smart home devices in the future (e.g., plugs, bulbs, thermostats etc.) and manage them through the My Co-op Power app directly.
When you open the box and unpack the contents you should have the following items:
Device to connect smart home devices to My Co-op Power app.
Supplies needed for Energy Bridge set up.
Once installed, these devices will allow your electricity meter to talk directly to the My Co-op Power app to display real-time energy data for home energy management.
When you open the box and unpack the contents you should have the following Items:
This device installs directly onto your electricity meter.
This device connects to your home internet network and pairs with your electricity meter for usage data.
Supplies needed for CloudConnector and Meter Sensor installation.
Launch the My Co-op Power app and log in using your My Co-op Power credentials. If you have trouble logging in, email us for help: firstname.lastname@example.org
Open the Energy Bridge box and remove the contents. Be sure to recycle all the cardboard & paper packaging
The Energy Bridge box should contain:
✓ Energy Bridge
✓ Power Adapter
✓ Ethernet Cable (optional)*
You will also need your Wi-Fi password.
*If you choose to connect via Ethernet, wait to plug it in until directed by the in-app setup. Plugging it in too early can interfere with the setup process.
Find a spot you’d like to keep your Energy Bridge and plug it into a power outlet. Your Energy Bridge will have the best connection if you avoid placing it near routers, modems, or large metal objects such as your fridge. However, because you will be using the Meter Sensor to see real-time energy, you will not need to place the Energy Bridge near your electric meter as the app may suggest.
Go to My Devices () in the app and follow the prompts to begin the in-app Energy Bridge setup process. As a reminder, do not connect the ethernet cord until directed to do so. The app will walk you through the rest of the Energy Bridge setup process from here. After conntecting to internet, you’re all set and can tab the back arrow—you will not need to complete the “Request Bind” portion of the in-app guided setup.
Launch the Installation Wizard to walk you through the installation step-by-step.
On the sensor unit, open the battery case and remove the plastic tab.
Once activated, set the sensor aside in a safe place and continue to the next step below.
For best overall performance of the CloudConnector and Meter Sensor connection follow the following tips:
It's recommended you use this method to connect to Internet rather than Wi-Fi because it is a more simple and easier process. However if your router is too far away from your meter or you do not have the option to plug in a device directly, you will need to connect via Wi-Fi.
Use this method to connect to Internet if your router is too far away from your meter, or if you do not have the option to plug into a router directly.
Connect to Internet: Wi-Fi. If presented with the message on the left, click “Advanced”at the bottom of the page to continue. Once you see the screen on the left, click the link that says “Proceed to 192.168.187.1”.
Once installed, you should see the following status light pattern on the physical Meter Sensor:
If the status light stays on solid RED after several minutes, and never starts triple flashing Green:

Once your Meter Sensor and CloudConnector are connected login to your My Co-op Power application to see your energy live!
The energy dial should now reflect usage data in real-time after more data is collected your energy use will be broken down to show different disaggregation like always on (vampire load), refrigerator and central furnace (if Powerley thermostat is connected).
If your app is not showing real time data, there may be an issue with your hardware setup. Please follow the troubleshooting guide for additional help or contact our installation experts. email@example.com
