DETROIT, MICHIGAN, September 15, 2022 — Powerley, a joint venture between DTE Energy, a Detroit-based diversified energy company and Vectorform, a digital innovation consulting company, announced organizational updates to its leadership team to enable the next stage of growth.
Powerley welcomes Chris Weiss as its new Chief Technology Officer, starting on September 12. As Powerley’s CTO, Chris will be responsible for leading and growing Powerley’s end-to-end integrated software platform, including its award-winning mobile application and new digital user interfaces.
In addition, Paul Wezner has been promoted to serve as the company’s Chief Product and Customer Officer, overseeing the company’s product roadmap and strategic relationship with its utility partners, including delivery of success for their programs.
Chris is a seasoned technology leader with more than 25 years of experience, developing software, building systems, and providing a broad range of technology services. Most recently, Chris was the Chief Technology Officer at Dewpoint in Lansing, Michigan, where he progressed through roles with increasing responsibility including Senior Solutions Architect and Chief Architect. Chris prides himself on building a collaborative approach to innovation, drawing from both technology and business. He intends to bring this same style of technical leadership to Powerley.

Paul has more than 15 years experience in the digital space, including serving as a subject matter expert in the smart energy industry. Paul has served as a member of the board of directors for the Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative since 2019 and has spoken at numerous industry events, including PLMA, DistribuTECH and Energy Star. Paul joined Powerley in 2015 as the company’s first employee and was instrumental in operationalizing the organization. He most recently served as Vice President of Product Management.
